Concrete Walls

Function: Protection of locations from a limited range of weapons.
Special:
Concrete walls, despite being somewhat useless due to the overwhelming abundance of advanced guided weapons, are utilised in securing areas, guarding structures and providing an augmented defense for units that can shoot over the them.

Guard Post
Prerequisite: SSIA Barracks

Weapon: Rapid-fire Pulse Laser
Range: Medium
SSIA Guard Posts are placed at forward bases, roadblocks and other areas when materials are strained. The standard weapon mounted on the turrets of these positions is a low-intensity, rapid-fire pulse laser.

Laser Turret

SSIA Laser Turrets are ground-hugging defensive positions placed in most SSIA Military bases. Standard issue weaponry is the MKII Medium Pulse Laser, The primary function of the SSIA Laser Turret is to engage armored targets, although it is equally deadly when used on infantry and soft-skinned targets. SSIA Laser Turrets require power to function.

Anti-Aircraft Missile Turret

SSIA Missile Turrets are developed for all around air defense. Unlike air-defense missile systems of the past, the concept of the AAMT is to put out as steady a stream of missiles as possible while being inexpensive and easy to produce. SSIA Anti-Aircraft Missile Turrets require power to function.

ATGM Emplacement
Prerequisite: SSIA Barracks, SSIA Control Tower

SSIA ATGM Emplacements are small automated defense guns designed to destroy tanks. To allow for them inflict maximal damage, ATGMs will not consider anything but ground based units in their targetting procedures. Certain drone units and amphibious ships will not be targeted by ATGMs.

AutoTurret

SSIA AutoTurrets are automated wall-mounted infantry defenses. Each is equipped with a triple barreled minigun that can pierce most infantry armor with little difficulty. Due to the nature of the munitions used and the AI's targeting protocols, the AutoTurret will never engage vehicles, ships or airborne units.

SSIA Heavy Laser Turrets are formidable SSIA base defenses used to defend major installations and critical positions. Standard Heavy Laser Turrets are fitted with the high energy Omega Class pulse laser cannon. Differing from the 3 barreled design of the past, this new verson focuses on a central energy discharge unit to destroy armored targets. When faced with thin-skinned targets, SSIA Heavy Laser Turrets utilise side mounted high-intensity pulse lasers. SSIA Heavy Laser Turrets require power to function.

The SSIA has a close connection with the Chronosphere- it may be the very reason they exist in the 21st century. Despite being a device that has its origins in the First Red War of the 1950s, the Chronosphere quickly evolved, lasting well over the 60 year test of time. The primary function of the Chronosphere is to shift entities in a selected area through time; but as distance through time increases, the power requirement gets exponentially higher. Thus, the secondary function of the Chronosphere came into existence- short range teleportation. While the energy surge is lethal to unprotected beings, this function can be put to use on any vehicle, ship and landed aircraft without danger.

The SSIA Particle Cannon Uplink is a simple structure designed to communicate with the SSIA's space-based superweapon. The Judgment Class Particle Cannon is a highly controversial subject- no log of its launch can be found in any records; it just seemed to appear out of nowhere. Unlike most orbital weapons platforms, the SSIA Particle Cannon fires off its stored energy in a series of scattered discharges. This allows for damage to be spread over a wider area.
