Blaster Trooper
Prerequisite: SSIA Barracks

Blaster Troopers, or Blaster Guards as they are often called due to their usual position as sentries, are well trained soldiers that utilize energy pistols. Blaster Troops are trained to fire at all targets, including aircraft, which makes up for the shortcomings of their weapons. These weapons are powered by advanced battery cells and never require reloading or replacement provided the user does not fire the weapon too much in a short period of time. Due to this, a built-in limiter is in every weapon, restricting the rate of fire and intensity of the weapon.

SSIA Engineers are part of the joint effort by the EDF to bridge an alliance to the SSIA. The SSIA and EDF train their engineers in the same way; as a result, they are extremely skilled.

Combat Medic

Faster than most infantry
SSIA Combat Medics are part of a joint effort by the EDF to bridge an alliance to the SSIA. The SSIA and EDF train their medics in the same way; as a result, they are extremely skilled. Medics are unarmed, and must be protected in order to do their job. Medics are equipped with short-range armor-repair devices and can distribute medi-kits and stimpacks to infantry.

Ionic Cannon Trooper

The Ionic Cannon Trooper is equipped with the standard issue weapon of the SSIA, the Ionic Cannon. The Ionic Cannon is a simple, pistol-like weapon that fires a single energy discharge at a target by means of a battery cell. Once fired, the battery cell expires, and a new one must be loaded in, causing the weapon to be slow firing. This often puts infantry armed with them at a disadvantage against most other infantry, whose weapons fire much faster- to counter this ineffeciency, SSIA commanders commonly use infantry equipped with this weapon in volleys.

Machine Gunner
Prerequisite: SSIA Barracks

Armor: Heavy Duty Body Armor
Weapons: 15mm Machine Gun

SSIA Machine Gunners are equipped with 15mm heavy machine guns. These soldiers are trained to fire their weapons in short bursts, as the weapon can be overwhelming when fired too fast. When compared to other soldiers in the SSIA, Machine Gunners are given much superior all-around protection; it is believed this is because of potential issues with the very weapon they carry.

Grenadier
Prerequisite: SSIA Barracks

Weapons: A-HE Grenade Launcher

Explodes when killed.
SSIA Grenadiers are specially trained infantry equipped with clip fed 40mm Grenade Launchers. These soldiers are devestating anti-infantry units that when close-in, can cause havoc among enemy ranks. Grenadiers are outfitted with heavy assault suits which can take heavy damage before losing structural integrity. Due to the supply of grenades and the assault suit, Grenadiers explode violently when killed.

Rocket Trooper
Prerequisite: SSIA Barracks

Weapons: NG-LAW Anti-Tank/Aircraft Rocket Launcher
Range: Medium
Special: Can garrison buildings.
Explodes when killed.
Cannot be crushed.
SSIA Rocket Troopers are equipped with the NG-LAW, a light weight, disposable anti-tank weapon. Unlike EDF Anti-Armor Soldiers, Rocket Troopers do not need to dig-in before being able to fire their weapons, which allows for a much more mobile defense. Rocket Troopers are equipped with rockets only, and are not trained to handle infantry.

Sniper
Prerequisite: SSIA Barracks, SSIA Control Tower

Armor: Kevlar Vest
Weapons: Pulse Laser Rifle
Range: Long
Special: Can garrison buildings.
SSIA Snipers are trained to use powerful MkIV Pulse Laser Rifles, which have a maximum lethal range of 1 mile, provided the target is an enemy soldier’s head. This class of laser, however, lacks the ability to pierce or damage armor.

SSIA Special Ops are elite infantry trained in base destruction and anti-infantry operations. The M16A4, as it has been called by its users because of its resemblance to the assault rifle, is a sophisticated laser weapons that functions on a much higher level than most of its counterparts. This weapon has a powerful battery cell that can provide a 20 shot 'magazine'.

Energy Cannon Trooper
Prerequisite: SSIA Barracks, SSIA Control Tower, SSIA Research Center
Cost: 1400
Armor: Heavy Assault Suit
Weapons: Energy Cannon
Range: Medium
Special: Can garrison buildings.
The SSIA Energy Cannon Trooper carries the most powerful man-portable weapon ever created. Soldiers with these weapons are best used in close range battles, and in sheltered areas, where they can charge their weapons up to higher levels, increasing range and damage. The SSIA Energy Cannon Trooper is fearfully powerful against all ground and naval targets that get in its range.
